2. Do I need a partner to join a class?
No, no partner is required to join our classes. We encourage individual sign-ups and facilitate partner rotation during the class.
3. Do I need to rotate partners in the lessons?
As Salsa and Bachata are very social dances, we do ask everyone to rotate during our classes to ensure everyone has a turn and helps you become a better dancer.
4. What shoes do I need to wear?
For ladies: Ideally, shoes with a low heel and a strap across the ankle so that they stay securely on your feet. For both ladies and gents, trainers may be ok for your first few classes but after this we suggest non-marking shoes with a suede or leather sole so that you can pivot well on the wooden floor.
5. What should I wear to a Latin dance class?
Comfortable clothing that allows for movement is recommended.
6. I'm a beginner. Will I be able to keep up?
Absolutely! Our beginner classes are designed to introduce the basics at a comfortable pace. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
7. How long does it take to learn salsa/bachata?
The learning time varies depending on the individual. Consistent practice is key, and most students feel confident with the basics after a few classes.
